Willow sunflower workshop (morning)

What you will make

James will be teaching how to make giant willow flowers.   These look great pushed into the soil at the back of flower bed or against a wall or fence.  Plants can clamber up and around them  or you can leave them as the bare willow.  

This is what you will learn

• Making the central disc first.  (This in fact a basket base so a useful skill if you plant to start basket making)

• Weaving around the disc to make the size you want

• Looping the petals around the disc

• Securing the stalk – remembering to make it long enough to push at least 12in into the ground.
